LEANN M. CROFT, PT, MSPT

Leann received her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Illinois State University and her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from The University of Miami. Before completing her MSPT degree, she was taking continuing education courses in pelvic floor rehabilitation wherever she could find classes. Therefore, her education in pelvic floor rehabilitation started in 2001 and she has been gaining knowledge and skill in this area of specialty ever since.

As a physical therapy student, Leann was fortunate enough to intern with Rhonda Kotarinos and Bernadette Kamin; learning from these two pioneers in pelvic floor rehabilitation. Upon graduating from University of Miami, Leann started practicing pelvic floor rehabilitation in 2002 in their Chicagoland offices.   Deciding to take pelvic floor rehabilitation to her hometown, she moved back to Bloomington/Normal in 2004 and opened her own practice.

Leann is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, The Endometriosis Association, and the International Pelvic Pain Society. She is also a member of the Pelvic Health section of the APTA.  Leann was also an early member of the Chicagoland Pelvic Floor Research Consortium.  She has been a guest lecturer at various events including the Endometriosis Association’s 25th Annual Conference.  When not working, Leann enjoys spending time with her husband and her children, walking their Yorkipoo puppies, and making bath bombs with her daughter.

HOPE Physical Therapy was started as Croft Physical Therapy in 2004 and was built on the referrals Leann received from physicians at Loyola University Medical Center, Northwestern University Medical Center, and University of Iowa, among many others.  For the first twelve years of Leann’s career, she treated exclusively pelvic floor dysfunction for women, men, and children.

In 2017, after seeing the need in her community for more hands-on therapy, she decided to open the practice to help those patients suffering from any form of chronic pain.  Being told she offered so many people HOPE for their condition, Leann decided to rename the practice and changed it to HOPE Physical Therapy.  HOPE is the first physical therapy clinic in Central Illinois that offered exclusively pelvic floor rehabilitation and now the first of its kind also offering hands-on therapy for all pain conditions.
